dibs.

How dibs compares

Five tools people actually weigh dibs against. Every price and limit below was read off the vendor’s own page on 2026-09-18 and links to it, because a comparison with a stale price is just an untrue statement about someone else’s business.

What dibs is worse at is at the bottom of this page, not buried. If one of those things matters to you, buy the other tool — that is a better outcome than a refund.

What dibs is worse at

Written down so you find out here rather than a week in.

It needs your browser open
dibs reads the marketplace in your own signed-in browser, which is why no server anywhere holds a login for your account. The price of that is real: close the laptop and the searches stop until you open it again. Every server-side tool on this page keeps running without you, and if that matters more to you than the rest, one of them is the better buy.
One marketplace today, not nine
Facebook Marketplace. Not Mercari, Poshmark, eBay, Depop, Vinted, Kijiji, Gumtree, Shpock or Nextdoor. Craigslist and OfferUp are written, tested and waiting on a Chrome Web Store release, and adding a site after those is a selector set and a content script — but the version you can install today watches one.
It does not tell you what a thing is worth
Several tools here check a listing against sold comps and estimate your profit. dibs tells you a listing exists, fast, with its photo, price and a link. Judging the deal is still yours.
There is no phone app
A Chrome extension and a website. Alerts reach your phone through push, Telegram, Discord or email, but there is nothing to install from an app store.
We have not published a measured latency number yet
Every tool in this field advertises a speed. dibs measures its own delivery time end to end, and will publish the real distribution once there is enough data to be honest about — not before. Treat an unsourced speed claim from anyone here, including us, as marketing until it is measured.
